Montreal, July 25, 2006 - Australian firm Foti International Fireworks will present its production entitled Theatre of Fire tomorrow, Wednesday, July 26 at 10 p.m. at La Ronde as part of the L'International des Feux Loto-Québec presented by TELUS.

The specially designed show draws on a highly diversified soundtrack that mixes classic melodies, rock and music with flavours of ultra-modern techno.

With its bold, wide-ranging soundtrack that includes such hits as 'Grease Lighting' from the popular film Grease and 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' sung by Barbra Streisand, Foti International Fireworks is certain to generate a truly joyful atmosphere. All the musical selections are particular favourites of the Australian company, which created the show especially for Montreal, tailoring it to the La Ronde site, where it?s possible to present expansive segments as well as portions that are closer to the spectators. There will be both small, very intimate theatres and more grandiose ones.

"One thing's for sure - it will be very difficult for people to stay in their seats," promises company member Célestino Foti.

The pyrotechnic devices used will also be highly varied - and will consist of multiple effects. Rainbows will appear to the strains of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' and a suspended chandeliers four metres wide, to the powerful music of 'The Phantom of the Opera', will amaze us. The intense finale will be divided into three distinct parts: a fairly laidback, tranquil introduction, a rather more rhythmic middle section featuring red, blue and green palm trees and an explosive closing portion filled with comet and tornado effects. An amalgam of colours will blend beautifully with the chosen music, with magentas, reds, whites, yellows, greens and lime greens all figuring prominently in this tremendously colourful performance.

Now into its seventh generation of pyrotechnicians, and founded more than 200 years, Foti International Fireworks, is proud of the productions it offers the general public. Invited to present the New Year's fireworks in Sydney for the past 10 years, as well as the pyrotechnic extravaganza at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the firm is delighted to be participating for the third time in the Montreal international fireworks event, which it regards as the world's most prestigious pyrotechnic arts competition.
