We are still waiting for the closing show soundtrack listing, but La Presse, which used to cover the fireworks competition on a regular basis during the 1980s and 1990s, just published a rare article about it. It is written by music journalist Alain de Repentigny:

http://www.lapresse.ca/arts/musique/entrevues/201708/02/01-5121359-des -petards-sur-la-musique-dharmonium.php?utm_categorieinterne=trafficdri vers&utm_contenuinterne=cyberpresse_B13b_musique_388_section_POS3

This show will feature a "surround system," which is reported as a first in the event history. Last Saturday night, we could see three steel towers next to the grandstands. Additional speakers shall be located on them.

There was also a very rare Montreal Gazette article about the competition today. http://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/qa-behind-the-scenes-at-lin ternational-des-feux-loto-quebec

Generally speaking, Montreal Gazette's references to the fireworks are limited to "bridge closure warnings".

Here's the soundtrack: http://montreal-fireworks.com/ReportBlog/?p=1349

My final reports will be posted shortly - sorry to be so far behind this year!
