Posted: Jul 3, 2018 23:43:09 Today, La Presse had a news story about this topic: http://www.lapresse.ca/affaires/economie/quebec/201807/03/01-5188054-q uel-festival-genere-le-plus-de-retombees-au-quebec.php The Montreal International Fireworks Competition ranks at the 4th position among the Quebec festivals regarding their general economic impact, and 3rd position for economic benefits from non-Quebec tourists, just behind the Jazz festival and F1. While I am a fan of the competition, I didn't suspect that it ranks so high. Ironically, this news is published in La Presse... which covers about all festivals and events in Montreal, BUT the fireworks competition which gets virtually no coverage at all.
