Fired by Fireworks by Grucci. The fireworks were shot off the rooftops of 10 hotels: Excalibur, MGM, Monte Carlo, Bally's, Flamingo, Venetian, Treasure Island, Stardust, Circus-Circus, and Stratosphere.

If you want to see the video (the finale is missing ) : http://www.klastv.com/Global/story.asp?S=2752932&nav=168YUlZu

Althrough, I can't see the video because my WMP is oudated. But I can say I love the idea of shooting fireworks all around Las Vegas's downtown. That's really amazing!!

Las Vegas is very beautiful, especially its architectures. Hopefully I'll visit there one day.

Fireworks would definitely be a nice festivity for the bright Las Vegas. My aunt has been there at the casinos and she says that the casinos themselves are very beautiful, as are the buildings and neon lights everywhere.

It's a big city, but it's also surrounded by a big dessert.

I'll try to watch the video. It seems nice to see fireworks in a place like that.

Trav.

Anonymous,

Well, I just finished watching the video and I must say that it was very well done, especially in terms of how it was presented! The way the buildings were scattered between each other made the entire display very sporadic and making it seem like it was everywhere, which was pretty neat. I also liked that green laser coming from that tower, which was nicely integrated to the display, especially at the very end.

A great way to welcome 2005 in Las Vegas and I'm happy to see a display in such a bright city. It was really nice and bright. It made it look like there was a Las vegas in the air!

Anyways, thx for posting and sharing the video with us.

Regards,

Trav.

There's for sure enough shells in that display...

It reminds me a little of a streaming of Thunder Over Louisville i once saw... I had a dream of going to see it sometime but after visiting Montreal 2 times I am almost sure it won't happen. The shows are very large measured in the amount of material but when it comes to the artistic part they are in my oppinion lacking a lot in comparison to montreal. Like a german visitor in Montreal this summer said: "I rather go see a small well-designed show instead of a product-demonstration of large shells"

The point is that the Montreal-shows has a much better balance between the different types and sizes of product and not least are a lot better choreographed.

But that's just my humble oppinion

Lars,

In that sense, you're quite correct. Well, as I said, it was a neat way to celebrate with fireworks on top of buildings over the already bright Las Vegas. It seemed pretty nice, but it was just for the new years celebrations. Despite the materials used and the way it was designed and presented, it seemed very authentic and enjoyable, none the less.

As for comparing Montreal's competition, well, there's really nothing to compare when interpreting products! It's different in terms of what one expects and also the level of anticipation that is clearly demonstrated. Just remember that this was for festivities regarding new years, not for a competition, so we can expect a lower variety of products in a show like this.

To conclude, it's always nice to see a nice fireworks display over a city like that!

Don't worry, Lars, I'm not disagreeing with you. I agree with your interpretation of products used vs. Montreal, but what I'm saying is that it's for 2 different purposes or events. Expectations will be different in both these contexts.

Anyways, good to hear from you, Lars! And I'm still hoping that you can make it this summer, despite that big assignment that you have at the time. Miracles do happen! something can happen in 5 months! It would be great to have you discuss with us on each show. You always have good insights and opinions, so it would be great to stimulate discussion!

Regards,

Trav.
