i know that argent comes last, but dont understand which one is suppose to be the best "or" or "argent"

It follows the same logic as medals in the Olympics:

1st Prize is gold (Jupiter d'or)
2nd Prize is silver (Jupiter d'argent)
3rd Prize is bronze (Jupiter de bronze)
