I just wanted to wish everyone here a safe, memorable and happy Canada Day! I hope that the day will be thoroughly enjoyed, so matter how you choose to spend it.

The weather is expected to be very nice for the occasion, including for any fireworks displays that may be taking place. I've prepared a Canada Day forecast in the weather thread, just following my preliminary report for tomorrow's display (July 2nd). In addition to Montreal, the conditions specified in the forecast principally apply to areas of southern/eastern Quebec and eastern Ontario, so if you are heading to Ottawa to catch the fireworks there, for example, the weather should similarly be cooperative.
