The rest of the world gets to celebrate with fireworks once a year, but not australia. What a disgrace. Fireworks are illegal in this country. There is a thriving black market, but you have to sneak around like a criminal and the fines are many thousands of dollars. The Australian government is a joke. Shame Australia Shame.

Seeing the number of bush and forest fires in Australia, it's hardly surprising that fireworks are banned! Most of the dry states in the US have bans on fireworks too for that reason.

I thought it was nice to see Australia compete again in the Mondial SAQ. There display was excellent, but could have done a whole lot better in the end! If that had been done with all that has been said, we would be looking at a very good show!

As for the fires in Australia, yes it's ironic that fireworks have been baned. We don't want to cause more harm than done, Australia wise! But let them feel free to do there best in the Montreal Fireworks Competition(Mondial SAQ)! Australia generally puts on great shows, especially when they made their appearance in 2000. That year they were great, fast paced throughout, non-stop action! Another show that I will never forget!

Regards,

Trav.
