Does anyone know how long the final show will be this year? I have not been to a final in several years, but I seem to remember that it was only 15 minutes long. Has this changed?

Duration of the closing display has always been, at least, 30 minutes.

One more thing:

Your confusion may come from special Award shows displayed in 2009 and 2010. That years, the winners were announced a couple of days after the closing shows, and short displayed have been presented. That way to do was completely anti-climactic and, fortunately, the traditional schedule resumed in 2011.

Aha, that is it. It was the awards show that I remember seeing. Thanks for clearing that up Fred. I have some friends coming in and they will be pleased to see a full display!

Just to add, but the winners are also (usually) announced by around 9:30 p.m. Fireworks are typically released to celebrate the Jupiter winners.
