Hello!

I wanted to share our show in Flammende Sterne 2015 where we competed with Brazil's Fireworks Do Brasil and Panzera SAS. We won the competition with my design

Congratulations Vander! Not only do you "talk the talk" here on the forum, but you actually "walk the walk" too!

Excellent display!!

Cheers,

Paul.

My congratulations, too! Very, very nice job, Vander! As before, it would be fantastic to see you in Montreal at some point!

Thanks for posting your success at Flammende Stern, Vander. I do hope you are ready for the criticisms that come with people watching your competition shows!

Firstly, it was an entertaining show with recent pop hits but the design was simple. Most sequences consisted of candles firing from the same angles with shells over the top. Products used were average and not much in variety. The transition from Viva La Vida to Fix You was a bit awkward. With this kind of soundtrack, you could really be firing any fireworks. If you watch the Italian show with the music muted and play the Philippines soundtrack instead, you’d know what I mean.

The Italian show had by far better products with more variety and colour. Their soundtrack was opera which possibly did not appeal to the crowd at this festival.

The Brazil show unfortunately had more smoke. I thought their show had a bit more emotion, and they used a wider variety of music, except the tempo was the same throughout the show, which made it repetitive and boring.

The Philippines show was the more tightly choreographed of the three, and understandably, the winner.

Hello

All participants were limited to 48 cues per firing position. That is a big challenge, its not like any other competition where everyone can fire as much as they want. We got a lot of praise from Panzera for the high quality products and bright colors that we used. At the same time, Panzera had some good effects too which lead us to ordering a few shells from them for our Hannover show

Best Regards,
Vander
