Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows if there will be any displays taking place at the Old Port either tonight or tomorrow night for the occasion?

Other than that, there will be local fireworks displays scattered all over the place tonight and tomorrow night as well, so I'll be heading to see the show near my residence, as always, tonight and be right in front the firing site. The displays are usually no more than 15 mins.

Hope everyone sees some nice fireworks and has a nice long weekend.

p.s. The heat and humidity is returning to us by Monday.

My good friend Claude Renaud and Les Soleils de Minuit are putting on a large St Jean Baptiste display tonight by the river in Vaudreuil. I've been to this the past few years and must say that Claude and the team do an excellent job!

Good evening,

The fireworks display(s) in our area tonight were simply spectacular, especially since we were all near the firing site. The show I witnessed was actually an extra 5 minutes longer than expected, which is always a good thing. However, once I got home, I witnessed another display that could be seen to the South very nicely from my bedroom window, so I guess I got a double treat tonight.

The show I was on site at was wonderful and it consisted of many large booming high level shells and even some colorful ring shells mixed in, too. The additional extravagant silver and gold glitters always seemed to easily impress and captivate the spectators!

The finale was very well done with all those classic salutes and overhead white shells (plenty of noise). Really, the displays seem to be getting bigger each year!

Hope the display was great in Vaudreuil, Paul. Perhaps I will attend the performance next year, or maybe even tomorrow assuming that another display is scheduled to fire there.

Hope everyone had a nice night!

Trav.
