Enkil, from what I saw in those videos, it reminded meof being there on that same night, July 31st, especially at the end. Sigh.......Brings back sweet memories

Enkil, you just drove my passion even more! Now I can't even wait till next year! It's more than 10 months, practically. Anyway, I hope you don't mind, but I guess to keep up my passion for the Mondial SAQ Fireworks Competition, I'll just keep watching that video over and over and over again, especially the ending, that's the part that drove me wild!

Thx so much for letting us see this video

I commend you a lot for the work you put into it, I mean, the clip actually makes me feel I'm back in the competition. You did a great job.

Enkil

Merci beaucoup pour l'adresse où j'ai pu trouver l'extrait vidéo.
Je vais le transférer sur un CD et je vais l'écouter souvent quand je vais m'ennuyer des feux de Montréal.
C'est vraiment bon....

To be honest, Enkil, I watched that ending at least 5 times this morning! It'd really REALLY good!!!!! 10/10

BTW, at the very end of it, what are those extremely loud crackling bombs at the bottom called ? If you know, please tell me soon. I'm very interested in learning about the names of different fireworks. Thx.

Oh yeah, very good clip! Thx a lot!! I could just watch it over and over again! I put the volume to the max and it felt like I was really back there on July 30th. Sigh..........I wonder if Paul saw it yet. Anyway, once again, Thx.

to tell u the truth i dont know the fireworks names

i only know mines, roman candle,

i agree those were some huge bomb, the sound was extremly loud

i also need to make a topic to Paul for this, i also would like to learn the names of the fireworks

if u look at http://www.montreal-fireworks.com/pyro_glossary.html personally it hard to know what fireworks it is, i thought that maybe if paul could put a little picture for each name it would help me

Follow the link on my glossary page to Tom Smith's glossary. He does have some drawings of the different effects. It's difficult to take photos which accurately illustrate the effects because of the way time exposure works - stars which don't leave a trail will not appear that way in a photo and so will be hard to distinguish them from stars which do leave a trail (usually called comets).

The loud crackling bombs at the bottom are just hundreds of salutes being fired simulataneously from roman candles: I counted 51 candles each firing 5 salutes at a time with a total of nine shots. That gives around 250 salutes per shot, all done in less than 10 seconds ... so more than 2000 salutes from the candles alone! No wonder it was loud. BTW, I have seen the video extract and watched it several times

I knew you would, Paul. I watched it at least 15 to 20 times already, and I only downloaded it yesterday!!!

Didn't it really make you feel that you were back there? It really did for me!

Hey Paul, the best thing to do when you're watching it is to watch it when it gets dark outside. Then take the lights off and crank up the volume to the max or close to the max and it will feel like your back in the competition! You should try it, it's very good!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention.

Enkil posted up video clips from each display! I thanked him a lot!

Anyway, I'm going to watch the final again. When you watch it, it doesn't make you feel all that depressed. It makes me look foward to next year's competition, although it's far away.
