Greetings,

I decided to make a thread to post questions in hopes of getting help to name fireworks by simply using photos on this site and elsewhere. It came to mind some time ago, but I finally decided to get this started to help clarify things as we go along. I will simply provide a picture of a specific effect and anyone is invited to help name it. Personally, I find that this is the most handy way to learn and become familiar with things. Assisting explanations of the type of fireworks are always welcome, too.

To start off, Bob took this picture during the American performance and I briefly described its appearance in my report. Does anyone know the name of this effect?

I'll be posting here on and off whenever questions arise.

Thanks again.

Trav.

Thank you for that.

I also heard the name "horse tails" before in defining a shell before, so I guess that's it!

Thanks again!

Trav.
