i was wondering.. where exactly u watch the fireworks, i know u once said here but i forgot i think..?
do u see everything and down side too?

I watch the fireworks at the Lorimier and Notre-Dame intersection.

From where I watch it, your on a nice high slope, and you can see above everyone's heads! Yes, I see practically everything! You should try it next year! It's a great view. Really good.

I also used to watch it near where the steel gate is on Notre-Dame way up front, but this was going back at least 5 years. The only problem of going by the gate on Notre- Dame is that you have to come earlier, but you also get a nice view there, but personally, I prefer where I am now, on Lorimier and Notre-Dame intersection.

I went on the bridge once and I didn't really like it all that much, because I was contantly inhaling smoke.

Plus, where I stand it's easy to get out of traffic because I'm right near the parking lot and I can get out with ease.

And it's also easier because I live in the West Island and the quicker I get out, the better.

So, you should consider coming around the area where I watch, you won't be dissapointed!

hmm, I'm having some trouble putting a mark on the page to show you where I am.

But, on your map, you can see Notre-Dame and Lorimier intersection.

I didn't know you stand on the exit to La Ronde on the bridge. Anyway, it's clear across the bridge far past the Saint-Lawrence River near Rene-Levesque, as your walking that side of the bridge, look down and you should see Rene-Levesque intersecting with Lorimier.

For me to be more specific, I need you to tell me how to but a little mark on the map, so I can show you exactly.

Thx.

click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint

once there

u click Edit and Paste From and u past the map, once done u can start to write stuffs on it, with the tools

and save the file, now the problem is u need to upload the file some1 so i can view it, do u have a geocities account or something so u can upload

thanks!

i think i know where u mean, ure saying its the other side of Mondial SAQ, ive been there, but i juts want to make sure...

I'm still having some trouble.

When I click on edit, I can't access the paste option. That's the problem.......

I don't think I have an geocities account, though, but, I will still try.

I will try to explain in detail where I stand. On your map, do you see the massive concrete post that holds up the bridge with an archway in it on the other side where Rene-Levesque is? Just left of that giant post, you will find Lorimier and Notre-Dame intersection. I stand right at the traffic light on the median. It's a good view. You should come try it next year! It's very good!

So.....Do you know where I watch the displays now?

If you don't, I will try to draw it on the map, if I can.

lol hehe

unfortunately i dont know the names, im not good on that

but here, i made some lines on were im thinking u r

http://www.geocities.com/cutegry97/untitled.jpg

if im far try to tell which line ure more near, or maybe ure not there at all

Posted: Aug 11, 2003 20:03:37

Do you see where you made your purple line next to the post with the archway that holds up the bridge on the map?

If you take a ruler and measure 2 centimeters of the purple line from the right of that post on the map, I stand roughly right there next to the traffic light on Lorimier next to Notre-Dame. Can't miss it.

If you're still not sure, you can scrible something else on the map and I will reply to you to show you if you're getting warmer or not.

i think i got it now

and ive been there too only 1 time, somewhere in those lines but that was years ago, yes ure right it is good view, but i dunno if u can see every fireworks im talking more the down side, but if u say so then i believe u hehe

my view, yes its not that correct as view but if u look at it, its a very very nice view, u can really see everything

overall the best view will always be in La Ronde.. and that said, Paul is the luckyest one here

but i could watch from La Ronde too, expect u have to have the season pass and grab a sit

heres another pic i made where i used to sit for every show in 2000, that is the best and the free place that i know, u should really check it out if u ever go in a fireworks day

Yes, Paul is lucky indeed. I have to ask him about tickets and how you buy them in advance, because I'm considering on going to La Ronde to watch La Ronde Fireworks next year, and I want to get front seats!

Paul told me that he used to watch it where I am now, but after he was invited to La Ronde for something, I can't remember, but he told me. From 1996 onward, he has been attending the displays at La Ronde, he really is lucky.

But,I need to ask him about tickets. I think he would know. I will probably post a topic on it later on today.

The place, where you showed me on the map, I probably should consider going there, if I happen to be there during a display, I will definetely check it out. It looks like a nice view.

So, do you know where I am now? Well that's where Lorimier is and from there you will find Notre-Dame. You should come there again next year sometime. I wish I could show you the exact point.

Anyway, BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Reply soon,

Trav.
