Hello Smoke! Happy New Year to you, I wish you and your family the best of everything this 2009. I must say that New Year Celebrations'09 all over the globe are festive and great!

Thank you kindly, irisNwiz - the same goes out to both you and your family, my friend. Indeed, the celebrations were quite vibrant, as always, across the globe!

You guys really gotta see the fireworks display from London, England for bringing in the new year! Check it out if you haven't already. The show was designed by Christophe Berthonneau, who was the designer of the Groupe F display carried out in 2005 at the Montreal fireworks competition, and is, according to the announcer in the video, the world's most talked about fireworks prodigy! The Groupe F display representing France in 2005 was massive, creative and quite hyped from beginning to end - looks like that touch is definitely not lost in this display shown in London! The finale is strong and the sequencing is simply awesome throughout, especially on the ferris wheel. There were quite a bit of salutes used for this display as well.

Fisrt of all Hapy New Year and best wishes to allof you guys !

This year the London display wasn't very good. I suppose it was a qustion of budget, but it was far from the exhibition of last years.

The display from Sydney was, as always magnific. I love the first secuences, with the big shells over the bridge. As always Foti using magnific colours and doing powerfull displays. Very good again.

Only one criticizm for both displays: lck of creativity (from my poin of view) They always do almost the same, same structure, same concept... Anyway HAPPY NEW YEAR!

thanks for the link to the Hong Kong video - you're right, simple but very magical.

As for the Sydney display always being the same, since it's such an iconic display, people have a certain expectation of how it will be. But it was excellent, as always since Foti's have been doing it.
