I wanted to know some feedback and opinions on what you guys look for that makes a great finale, in any display that we watch during the competition, with a tremendous big bang!

I'd say something like the La Ronde fireworks ending and maybe even more intense! But, like Paul said before, Panzera endings are always very intense! But, in general, for other displays, I like endings that leave me and other people screaming, breathless, shaking, stunned and feels like they're going to have a heart attack!

Those are some things I like!

Send in your thoughts soon!

I think a finale is great when it is intense. I recall Laronde's closing fireworks this year, and especially Spain's double finale in 2001. I am most impressed when the finale is colourful, covers the full lenght of the sky, is bright, and NOISY! It also has to include some huge shells to make the audiance go "wow!"...

But this year, the teams were amazingly creative. For example, I liked the way the United States team used the color transitions using only one type of fireworks over a certain period of time. The blue one was stunning and hypnotizing! Some teams finished with an incredibly huge amount of salutes or titanium salutes. But sometimes, they just explode after everything else has already disappeared in the sky, so it's less impressive. They have to be used with something else now, to stand out.
Or some finales finish with a kamuro (is it called a kamuro, I'm not an expert...) trailing down to the lake. I think as much as it is beautiful, it doesn't end with a bang. So, for me, a great finale must be intense. SPAIN 2001 all the way!

a great ending means orginality for me, the ending of United States this year was original

i always look that for an ending

but what i like the most is, 2 big bangs in the ending, like one huge bang after a few sec another one to end the display, kinda hard to explain..

i think that ive seen alot of ending that finish with whatever fireworks, i think thats kinda *sometimes* dull now, i look for originality from now on

Like Enkil said, originality is also important to me in a finale.

But here's what I look for in a great ending.

First of all, you must have fast paced music throughout the entire ending, so this way, it will be intense in speed.

When it starts, it should start slow and then increase with pace and intensity. It should start off with those loud crackling shells in the bottom and then start building up with massive shells and salutes on the top and the pace is still incresing with the climax of the music. It should have lots of colors and should be fairly bright!

So, after the ending, you will have the entire place filled with color and brightness, as well as noise and loudness, like thumps in the chest!

After that, they shouls send up those powerful, loud ones in the bottom to finish it off!!

Then, if possible, send up the real ending!!!!!!

Oh yeah, a breathtaking should last up to 1-2 minutes! That will knock you out! I think that's how long Spain was in 2001!

Send in your thoughts,

Trav.
