Does anyone shoot video of all the competitions and put them to DVD for sale as they do for PGI and Winterblast?

Hi Jim

welcome to our forum. The competition organizers video all of the displays and do put them on DVD to give to the competitors themselves. However, due to performance rights issues of the soundtrack music used, these are not offered for sale.

That said, there are streaming videos available of the Spanish and Czech displays at http://pyroplanet.com (you may have to search a bit to find them). Here's a more direct URL for the Spanish show:

The Czech display can be streamed from http://video.mpegnation.com/a001269059082072105094722935.html

There will also be a DVD available of the Portuguese and Czech displays for US$12 for the duplication and shipping only - contact me at pyropaul@montreal-fireworks.com for more information on this.

Cheers,

Paul.

Hey Jim!

As Paul said, welcome to our forum! I just wanted to add to Paul's comments that you can view the finale clips that our friend Pierre recorded for us. I'm sure you'll love them. But no, sorry to say, the entire shows are not available for sale because of certain copyright issues dealing with soundtrack, as explained above.

There's the link.

I'll see if you can view last year's finales, as well. These, too, were recorded by Pierre.

Regards,

Trav.

Hi Jim,

Well, I now have the Spanish and the Czech Republic displays online for download. They're in .mpg. But you can convert them to .vob and burn them with a DVD burner. Obviously, the image quality won't be DVD quality, but it's still not bad.
