Anyone have info on this? (Exact dates, performers of displays or demos. Clinics or seminars offered.)

You can find more information here:

The board of directors of the Canadian Fireworks Association / ACP is just about to have a meeting to discuss this as well as other issues.

At the moment, I can tell you that it's going to be a fabulous meeting with displays on both nights of the convention. "Our own" Patrice Guy will be giving a seminar on choregraphy; a school bus is going to be blown up as well as a case of salutes - definitely worth attending the meeting!

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks for the link Paul. It does not say who might be providing demos or displays. Will Patrice be designing perhaps? Or Brad Dezotell from Calgary?

The displays/demos have not been 100% finalized.

Currently 3 consumer companies will be providing displays/demos on Friday night. Saturday night will feature a minimum of 5 companies producing displays and/or demos.

At this time I don't think Patrice will be designing any displays. As Paul mentioned, Patrice will be busy preparing a seminar on choregraphy. Brad Dezotell will be attending and has offered any help, we will finalize his involvement by the end of March.

Thank you for your interest, and we hope to see you in Alberta this April.

Latest news on the CFA convention can be found here:

http://www.canadianfireworks.org/english/cfa-conv-07-schedule.html

Hot off the press, we are having consumer fireworks demonstrations from the following companies:
Hands Fireworks, Mystical Distributing, Vulcan Fireworks

And we're having professional (display) fireworks demonstrations from these companies:
Ampleman Pyrotechnics, Fireworks Factory, Hands Fireworks, Royal Pyrotechnie, and Sirius Pyrotechnics.

Displays and demonstrations will be held both nights of the convention.

In addition, there will be the theatrical special effects explosion of a bus; live testing of fibreglass mortar racks; a demonstration of the explosion of a case of salutes; as well as presentations on insurance, shipping, choreography as well as seminars presented by the ERD on various regulatory topics.

This is a must-attend event for everyone involved in fireworks in Canada.

CFA President
